I revel in your successes, in your achievements, in your customers’ or your audiences’ satisfaction. You have a million priorities requiring your attention every day, usually requiring an inward focus to keep the wheels in motion. I can be your partner in understanding the market that you serve, diving deep to understand the players and the opportunities for your offering, organizing the information into comprehensible nuggets, and assisting you in the creation of a communications and positioning strategy that announces to the world who you are.
I have worked in technology fields for my entire career, but I have played in the music and arts world for my entire life. At work I bring a concentrated focus to unravelling complex technical processes and am rewarded when I successfully translate them into terms that propel a business plan forward. Revenue assurance, content monetization strategies, Internet of Things business models? No problem; let’s get to work. But when I immerse myself in the world of opera, my demeanor changes, so I have been told. My face lights up, my shoulders relax, and there is a lightness to my step. And I’ll sing out loud, a diva in my own mind.
And thus the dual nature of MLR Consulting’s focus: market research and communications planning for your technology business, and advice and guidance to young artists at the threshold of their opera careers on announcing to the world “Eccomi! Here I am!” Some would advise me that these two arenas are polar opposites and best served by two separate, horizontally distinct MLR Consulting business lines. But I know that the creativity that inspires me from the world of opera, and the passion of young artists committed to the craft, will serve technical entities well and complement their focus on bits and bytes. And the rigor and velocity with which I research and analyze market information will serve the emerging musician or musical group, either taking first steps or having reached a fork in the road, to know which direction to take.
And so I announce: Eccomi!
